Marc David Johnson (FuLinHyu)
@fulinhyu.com
So my actual given name is Marc
I don’t bite, but I do often bark
I write limericks for fun
Any acclaim, I have none
Just a fat and a tired old Fark
Pinned
I often hear people say “Marc,
Why are you filled with such snark?”
I grew up with the mayor
Of dark humor, Tom Lehrer
Listening to ‘Poisoning Pigeons in the Park’
On this day be a good girl or gent
Please don't tell relatives to get bent
No matter how bad the course
Remember it could be worse
Like the turkey that's our president

They must have thought I was a grouse
But my brother she took, that damn louse
Now she thinks she's a winner
Cooking him for her dinner
Joke's on her when I smash down her house

There once was an old-school explorer
Who wrote his love as an adorer
If he lived here today
It'd be easy to say
"I'll just send a text." Oh, the horror

Making plans that I hope are not muffed
To make diners feel quite full and chuffed
Much groaning will be heard
After eating the bird
Turkey won't be the only thing stuffed

I may be old but I can still seize
Any unguarded chicken or cheese
You may call it old age
But I'm wise as a sage
And will still do whatever I please
Sometimes I worry about this little cat getting old (she’s 19) and Daz and I try eating anything with cheese or chicken in it and she moves faster than lightening, jumps higher than mountains and can push her way past an outstretched hand like a bulldozer

Christmas is only six weeks away
Scary I know, but what can I say
Between shutdowns and files
The onset of snow piles
Can we reschedule for some new day?
November 15, 2025 at 12:50 PM
Okay, here is where I guess I chime
And respond with what takes up my time
I write limerick lines
Despite all of the signs
That they're lame, but at least they do rhyme
Every so often I invite you all to share a little somethin' somethin' about your work -- anything that you're proud of, excited by, or happy how it turned out.

Thread is open!

Lovely colors, they almost look drawn
While the light, it is nearly all gone
A fabulous photo
Of dusk over Tokyo
Being watched over by Fuji-san
You can hide but you can’t run.

I just never thought I'd stoop so low
As to put on this degrading show
For catnip I'll do tricks
Anything for my fix
I guess that's how my life will now go
@kalijah-69.bsky.social It's an old one, but it still is funny.😉😁

There once was an artist who drew
A quaint and quite peaceful street view
Using digital tools
Colors sparkling like jewels
Lovely art I just wish I could do
day 1047: I was exploring a local small town last weekend that I can’t remember visiting before. I took some pictures and drew this back at home in #procreate

There once was a cat who was tired
Their blanket is what was desired
Sleeping all day; the norm
Especially if warm
It's just how felines are hard-wired

I am sure I can help them gain size
With my patented diet of fries
I know this is a spoof
But my fat ass is proof
On the subject of weight gain I am wise

I really wish that I were kidding
But the stacked court just does his bidding
Trump doesn't want to pay
Just watch, he'll get his way
Dissent is one thing he's forbidding

Take today to remember a vet
Who fought hard to remove a big threat
Now that those wars are done
We can start a new one
We remember but seem to forget

While we all hoped they certainly would
Do the right thing as only they could
Instead, we were betrayed
By a deal that they made
So next we vote them out like we should
Eight senators in the Democratic caucus broke with the party on Sunday to vote with Republicans and advance legislation to end the U.S. government shutdown.

Here's what to know about the 8 lawmakers who broke ranks.

Two of them are retiring, and none of the others face re-election in 2026.

GOP sticks their head in the sand
Like Custer, hoping for a last stand
We're done with them and their goof
New York City is proof
We want better like Sweden and Finland
The GOP is petrified of Zohran Mamdani because they know once democratic socialism works here, as it has in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland, they will never be elected again.

While we hustle about going zoom
Or read articles of doom and gloom
It is nice now and then
For a moment of zen
Appreciate the flowers sweet bloom
Taking a beat to share something more positive than the ongoing horrors in the news. These bloomed yesterday. Please share anything good happening for you no matter what. #alittlegoodnews

While I thought I had found a good fit
Now I wish I was able to quit
As the boss at this dig
Is really quite the prig
And my life is simply sifting shit

While we head for the season of thanks
We should keep in our thoughts the food banks
People's belts start to cinch
Thanks to president grinch
While the country's economy tanks

There once was an angry old chap
Wanted people to starve without SNAP
While the masses need food
He just kept being rude
Spouting lies and half-truths and more crap
November 6, 2025 at 11:57 PM
I dared him, so he did to please us
Please, no ornithologists see us
I'm sure we would be screwed
If the public, they knew
That we walked on water like Jesus

The sheen on my plants was muculent
It made for an ugly succulent
I don't mean to be rude
But I'm in quite the mood
Forgive me for being truculent

The air is a little bit nippy
The tires are a tad bit slippy
The wonders never cease
Made it home in one piece
A fall ride by this old time hippy
October 29, 2025 at 9:41 PM
The fall leaves are really quite the view
As are kids in costumes shouting "Boo"
With the crisp autumn air
The pumpkins everywhere
Days like these, I'm afraid, are too few

UPS

We'll deliver your package, one day
Despite what our app, it might say
We don't need a release
It might come in one piece
But looks like we kicked it the whole way

2. “It’s arrived”
