Hi everyone, I'm Manuel Correia. I've been designing videogames and boardgames for the last 14 years.

These are some of my favorite projects so far. Have you played any?
The cover for the videogame Empire of Sin, which takes place in 1930's Chicago. the cover features a several lit up buildings at night and three characters. A smoking white man with a trillby, a woman with a hat and a machine gun and a black man with a beret and a pistol. They're surrounded by crates of booze. The cover for Superhot: The Card Game, featuring a red dude that was shot through its head. The character is made of red glass which is shattering away. The logo for the game Cook-Out: A Sandwich Tale. It is in front of a tall sandwich that is on a table with a picnic blanket. On the background there are flying ingredients, breaking plactes, a cleaver, ketchup. The logo for the game Agent Decker, featuring its name on a blue and black background.

True, if it's a supported option in their software that's fine. I'm more used to ebook DRM, which can be a real pain to deal with.
I love how easy Bandcamp makes it. Want the album in MP3 with covers and good metadata? There you go!

I'll look into it, but if I have to use third party software to convert something I bought in order to own it, then it's not what I'm looking for.

But of course it is! 🙃

I don't know. I don't really use their ecosystem and my previous experience with iTunes and trying to get files out of their devices was very frustrating. They really don't want you to do it.

Still looking. Is there any place I could buy the Tron Ares soundtrack with no DRM?
The one that popped up on Bandcamp was fake and promptly removed.

Does anyone know if there's a DRM-free place I could buy it from?
I'm not too familiar with the current music buying landscape, other than Bandcamp.

Ferrets take that to the next level. They get unresponsive and their whole body goes floppy!

In theory yes, but if people have to break out google maps to measure that, then it's a hassle. I was born in Lisbon and I don't know where the very center of Lisbon is.

Also, "The player who most recently visited Portugal takes the
starting player marker" is useless for people who live in Portugal.

Learning Azul (first time playing!) and today’s tip for rulebook designers is:

Don’t make your diagram labels look exactly the same as the components themselves. 🎲✂️
In the setup instructions for Azul, the letters used to call out different parts of the components on the table have exactly the same border and are exactly the same size as some of the tiles that are in the photograph. Please don’t do this, it is very easy to lose track of what is what.

If people can already sign up, then I don't think there's a wrong time to publish reviews (before the campaign is over, of course)!

People are bombarded by so much stuff every day that they're not likely to remember the name so they can look for it later.
Ideally if the review is published before the campaign is live there would already be a placeholder page where they can sign up to be notified when it does go live.

Video: a Japanese scientist was attacked by flies while giving the acceptance speech for his Ig Nobel Prize-winning research paper that proved painting Zebra-like stripes on cows led to a decrease in biting fly attacks.

Oh no!
I replaced Adobe software with the Affinity Suite years ago and it has served me so well for a fair price. I hope they don't ruin it.

Every time I watch ALIEN I am transfixed thinking to myself "there's no way they've left themselves enough room to get the third horizontal line in that E without it looking like a squashed-in mess!" but no, every single time there it is, and it's beautiful. Most tense part of the movie tbh.
