If only it did mean that. I think it’ll just be more of the same crassness we’ve had thus far sadly.
A Labour MP tells The House’s Sienna Rodgers McSweeney’s resignation will mean “full speed ahead to uber-woke, net-zeroist, rejoinerism”.

Which sounds good to me, but is also very telling of the beliefs of the faction McSweeney championed.

I think an octopus with a bucket of numbered balls could do a better job than most incumbent policymakers.
In its British form, Blueskyism may be the belief that one could do a better job than incumbent policymakers.

I don't see Starmer, suddenly unbound, leaping to do a load of stuff he'd been previously dissuaded from. I suspect he'll just carry on taking bad advice, but with more dithering.

Greater Manchester Police are investigating Reform over the potential breaking of electoral law in the Gorton & Denton by-election.

The party sent out election materials without identifying they were the promoter.

If Reform won the election the result could be overturned in court.

Farage was banging on about Turkish barbers, so these lads in Glasgow did this.

It's in Dumbarton Road, if you fancy a trim.

An astonishing piece of work.
Now released in half-speed vinyl remaster.
JUST IN! 'Spirit Of Eden' by Talk Talk

Early post-rock favourite from 1988 and one of the most radical left turns in musical direction ever really.

A nice change from traybakes tonight, and still dead easy and dead tasty. Pasta - served with fried smoked lardons and Kalamata olives, and topped off with a dash of olive oil, ground rainbow peppercorns, and freshly chopped flat leaf parsley. Lush! 😋

Just came across this cool pic taken by Rob, my partner in crime in industrial cacophony, of me knocking out some deep walloping bass on my Stick during writing sessions for our third, and ultimately unfinished, Smallcreep album “Backlash”. Stockwell, London, 2003.

This is what Harvey Weinstein did, when he hired Black Cube to investigate Ronan Farrow.

It is catastrophically bad for anyone involved in politics to be doing the same thing. It is also: very fucking stupid indeed.

BBC’s excuse for having Farage’s Reform on TV all the time is that that are top of the polls. But when comes to scrutinising or deep diving into any scandals, their excuse is that they are not in government, in my mind that’s hypocrisy.

Shit as Labour may be, never ever underestimate the shitiness of Farage.
Nigel Farage tells GB News that Keir Starmer's decision to appoint Peter Mandelson as US ambassador shows his judgement is "seriously wrong" and he should stand down as Prime Minister.

Here's what Farage said when Mandelson was appointed
February 5, 2026 at 7:43 PM
Starmer’s and Labour’s pretence of naivety over who Mandelson was, is just insulting.
If Mandelson really told Starmer he barely knew Epstein, that was an epic whopper of a lie.

Here's Mandelson to Epstein in 2009: "You are the only person who knows everything about me. Don't go away".

Their relationship only got closer after 2009.

EXACTLY. This is the question that UK journalists *should* be asking.
"If Mandelson's links to Jeffrey Epstein disqualifies him from holding power, why does the company controlled by Epstein's business partner and co-owner retain access to the UK's most sensitive national security infrastructure?"

Peter Thiel. Jeffrey Epstein. Palantir. The UK Government.

That the Tories might possibly help save us from Palantir would be astonishing.
The Intelligence and Security Committee of the UK Parliament has just been promised all the administrative resource it needs to process the unknown amount of material about to be disgorged by the government.

The Tories are now raising doubts about contracts with Mandelson client Palantir.
