It’s kind of there but it’s very buried way way down the Home Screen and could be clearer. A nice simple set of choices right up with the main promo panels to me (as a UX guy) would make more sense (& in sidebar?)
Just enjoyed a couple of great docs on Hadrian’s Wall though 🙌
Keep up the great work!

@thehistoryguy.bsky.social Hi Dan. Have just downloaded the History Hit app on my (Fire TV / Toshiba) telly.
As well as the search and general presentation of content it would be really user-friendly to have a Categories menu, for Roman, Egyptian, Tudor etc… Would aid discovery 👍

"Forget our fate"
The peddler sings
Set up to sell my soul
I've lived a life for wealth to bring

And yet I'll gaze
At the colour of spring
Immerse in that one moment
Left in love with everything

Soar the bridges that I burnt before
One song among us all

Going through a very difficult few days - Finding a lot of comfort in this, by the genius who was Mark Hollis.
(It starts with 18 seconds of silence, save for the tiniest creak of a piano stool... Nothing wrong with your sound!)

Glad to see Nigel Farage has finally remembered Nathan Gill, former leader of Reform in Wales - found guilty of taking bribes from Russia.

Maybe he'll now remember how much he took from Putin's propaganda broadcaster Russia Today for all his TV appearances when he was a MEP?

GenAI truly was the worst technology to come along at this moment.

An energy and water guzzler when we most urgently need to take climate action.

A disinformation machine as our journalism fails.

A bias machine as fascism takes root.

A job killer in a cost of living crisis.

The "cognitive decline and brain damage from repeat COVID infections" and "easy to use robot that makes slop and melts your critical thinking skills" is a hell of a combo in a post-fact media ecosystem

The current sitting president (who may or may not be aware of that fact) just told you that Joe Biden was president on January,06, 2021. Harmless slip up? Absolutely not.

Laura Kuennsberg alleged that students at a UK university are "compiling lists of Jewish students so they can be marked & then harassed". Based on what she'd been told by the ultra-dodgy pro-Israel lobby group Stand With Us.

She gave zero evidence for this inflammatory allegation.

Left: Labour's Bridget Phillipson saying British Jews find the anti genocide in Israel protests "deeply upsetting"

Right: A British Jew on the anti-genocide in Israel protest wearing a watermelon a kippah

Shame on Labour for conflating anti genocide protests with anti Jewish sentiment -disgraceful

But what about all the waste they told us about? What about all the savings DOGE was going to find? What about the promises to cut council tax?
It's almost as if they were just making shit up to fool people, like they did with Brexit.

A UK presenter shouldn’t crow about an audience’s ignorance of Nathan Gill who took bribes from Kremlin agents & was a close ally of Farage . It shows they have failed to do their job . What next , telling us that Watergate was one of the lowest points in investigative journalism 🥺 ?

The Nathan Gill scandal should be huge news so why has the British media been mainly silent about it? (I think we know 🤔)
Here's Fiona Bruce shutting down any mention & acting like the audience aren't interested.

Ever since I finished Question Time, Reform have massively been on the attack.

Including a rant from Richard Tice entirely designed to distract from Reform and Russia.

Everyone should know about Nathan Gill, the bribes from Russia and the link to Reform.

We waste so much time wanging on about immigration being something that must be stopped, when the reality is we need it.

What if we spent the same amount of effort actually working out what we can do to encourage integration.

Treating them like enemies isn’t it

It is embarassing not to see the BBC pulling up Reform leaders claiming that Nathan Gill was just some fan who got photos taken with Farage - he was an MEP for them & their leader in Wales while taking cash from Russia to act against the UK! Literally the very basics of your job to point this out

Farage, like his hero Trump, always chickens out. He’ll have done sod all about suing those vetting experts too.

The Qatar deal (Trump gets a free jet, Idaho gets a Qatari Air Force base) reminds me of when Trump floated the idea of an "impenetrable" joint US-Russian cybersecurity unit to guard against election hacking and "many other negative things." 😂 And also 😱 www.darkreading.com/cyberattacks...
