DON'T PRINT LIES IN THE VOTERS PAMPHLET

#1. Our parks cost more because criminals who are caught engaging in graffiti vandalism are released with little punishment. Lacking harsh penalties, these released criminals simply go back to what they did before and continue to vandalize our parks and spray paint our entire city.
#2. Our Parks cost more because Multnomah County handed out over 25,000 free tents to homeless. The free-tents-for-all idea only attracted more homeless to come to Portland from other states in order to get their free tents and camp in our parks. Now we are all overwhelmed
#3. Our parks cost more because politicians refuse to enforce trespassing laws. This has made our parks a great place for homeless encampments because trespassers know it is hard for their camps to be moved.
#4. Our parks cost more because local governments (at taxpayer expense) hand out free drug paraphernalia to addicts. This makes Portland a top destination for drug addicts from other states to move here.
#5. Our parks cost more because police cannot keep our parks safe from crime and destruction because liberal politicians defunded our police.

Getting caught up with the news about the possibility of federal troops in Portland? 👇Here are some stories from this week's issue to check out.

The coming national horror is that if Portland's *truly* minimal level of protest justifies federalizing and deploying troops, they can and will be federalized and deployed anywhere the President wants and whenever he wants.
gabrielmalor.bsky.social
My initial read on this argument: Judge Nelson is eager to disagree with his 9th Cir. colleagues that federalizing the NG is reviewable at all.

He's also eager to disagree with Judge Immergut that the Portland protests were small and under control.

McArthur about the ICE protesters: "these are violent people." Says the president is entitled to say "enough is enough."

Asks for a stay pending appeal. Sits.

Argument is over.

Speaker Johnson crashes Kelly and Gallego gaggle. Says he’ll swear in Grijalva when they reopen the government

Kelly asking why Fine and Petronis got sworn in on pro forma, Johnson says it has to do with being on recess.

That's J6 rioter David Medina tyvm
suzettesmith.bsky.social
Right-wing influencer David Medina was picked by DHS to cover Secretary Noem’s Portland visit. He shows his audience “like maybe five or ten protesters,” seemingly supporting what Oregon leaders have been saying about the ICE protests: unremarkable unless ICE officers use riot control agents.

I think ridwell takes what they call “threads” which iirc includes torn clothing. I’d double check before doing anything, but could be better than tossing it?

I'm calling on my Federal Delegation to use every tool at their disposal to secure the release of these Portlanders, and to join me in condemning the criminalization of humanitarian aid. The connection to genocide in Gaza by Isreal and militarization on the streets of Portland is not lost on me.

Amidst everything going on with Trump's attack on the cities like Portland, I don't want to miss the very important and urgent need to condemn Israel's interception of the Sumud Flotilla and call for the immediate release of Paul Reid and Stephen Wahab, two Portlanders held hostage.

This is an extremely powerful rally

Councilor Green and fellow Portland veterans leading a protest against the unlawful deployment of the national guard, the attack on our immigrant neighbors, and the rise of fascism.

To those in the armed forces, it’s not simply that you have a right to disobey an unlawful order. You have a duty.

Extremely powerful rally happening at City Hall right now.

@councilorgreen.bsky.social and dozens of US military veterans are denouncing illegal actions of the Trump Administration and encouraging National Guardsmen to refuse to follow illegal orders.

saw some feds taking advantage of the amazing portland food scene at the domino’s on 21st and division today
photo taken outside of a domino’s pizza showing two federal police officers exiting the domino’s carrying probably 15 pizzas, and heading to their ugly police SUV. close up of two federal police officers exiting a domino’s location, carrying approximately 15 pizzas close up of the front passenger side of a police SUV outside a domino’s. passenger side door reads “federal protective service” “POLICE” and “Homeland Security”
