I will not engage in bad faith arguments, so don’t waste time trying.
I’ve had my cat for over a year (she’s 10, I found her right before she turned 9), and I just learned she can open containers and also knows the sit command. Absolutely a wild night for cat owners tonight

Sellwood-Moreland, it’s time to show up! Seth would make a great addition to the SMILE neighborhood association, and by showing (and voting) up you can make that happen.
I’m running for an at-large board member seat on the SMILE neighborhood association!

We deserve a Sellwood-Moreland that is welcoming, vibrant, and safe for all.
Please come by SMILE station Dec 3rd @ 7:30 to vote 🗳️

(You can vote if you live, work, or own property in Sellwood-Moreland boundary)

Mayor Wilson seems to be doing more to further destabilize unhoused people than he is to actually address housing.

How does it help to monetarily punish people who can’t afford rent?

@mayorkwilson.bsky.social you are deafeningly quiet about answering this. Portland wants solutions - not cruelty.

I want to post a quick reminder that silence in any scenario is being complicit. This applies across the board. Remember this.

Decimating resources for houseless service providers while you’re swimming in cash like you’re in the DuckTales opening credits is malpractice. Keith Wilson is, at a minimum, out of his depths but most likely has a nefarious agenda guided by developers et al.

The Metro Chamber’s position is not shocking or disappointing, because this is what we have come to expect from them. Tying yourself to the Portland Metro Chamber is tying yourself to a pro-ice stance. The Portland Metro Chamber is pro-ice.
Welp, it looks like the Portland Metro Chamber’s solidarity with the community against ICE and a federal invasion ends at charging an impact fee to property owners who would rent their properties to detention facilities that harm neighbors & drain public resources.

Can’t say that we’re surprised!

We love a council recess because it’s the perfect amount of time to email your councilors and tell them you appreciate the work they’re doing (clearly I am sending emails of appreciation to certain councilors today)

At a time when Portlanders are suffering from an affordability crisis, when thousands face threat of eviction, we have an obligation to act to protect the half of our population who rent. Bad faith slandering from right wing colleagues won’t deter me from fighting for tenants.

Also: I’m baffled by the idea that legislation rooted in the American anti-trust tradition is “out of the national socialist playbook.” The Nazis were pro-cartelization! What the ordinance does is follow in the Brandeisian tradition, which seeks to establish free market conditions with antitrust.

Disagreement on policy is welcome and reasonable, but calling me a Nazi for cosponsoring an ordinance to ban price-fixing is completely unacceptable. Councilor Ryan edited his post, but did not disclose the edit and explain the nature of the substantive change, so it’s here for posterity.

I received an email from a local newspaper today that I find very alarming. Local journalists, what is your code of ethics? What is the code of ethics generally accepted? The email I received is clearly a personal attack on me, and I’m not sure what to do here?

Today!!! 12-2! I’ll be there and I’ll be sharing my experiences. I’m looking forward to hearing the experiences of my comrades, and what sort of solutions we want to see!
Renters: I want to hear from you! At our next Homelessness and Housing Committee meeting on Tuesday, November 18, we’re holding open public testimony so renters can speak directly to councilors about their experiences and what they’d like to see from the City.

This is so serious. Officer Ty Engstrom replied to an email I sent on 9.3- I was followed at night by someone in a vehicle. He told me the safest way to bike at night is with lights a helmet and staying on bike roads/in bike lanes. How do I stay in a bike lane safely when 3/4 of it is parked in?
So why, when there is open parking on the other side of the street, do Portland police think they need to park in the bike lane?
Plenty of open parking, three vehicles, two on the other side of the road. No police visibly nearby.
Around 3:45 AM 11.18.2025 NW Davis and 3rd.

Since the trolls keep appearing in my replies let me remind you all. I don’t engage in bad faith arguments. Your lack of an ability to allow yourself to learn new information and change your opinions is not my problem, and it’s not my responsibility to engage with you when you only want to argue.
