The point of children playing sports is developing friendships, group identification, enjoying their bodies and experiencing the power of physical movement. These are at stake for trans children. Beyond that, this a fascist wedge issue that is part of an attack on all civil rights.

If you have “sincere concerns” about trans athletes in sports, all it means is that you have given yourself a rationale for your bigotry that you sincerely believe exonerates you for aligning to a far-right tactic for marginalization and exclusion.

This is a suddenly ubiquitous scam: the AI-generated email from a "book club" that can get your book into a couple hundred or couple thousand new hands. It's bullshit! Don't do it!
I have recently gotten two email solicitations from book clubs to visit with them and their members. The emails appear to be AI-generated but real people write back when I respond.
In both cases, it turns out there's a fee I need to pay to participate, at which point I lose interest. Icky, weird.
