The Wachowski sisters directing “2312,” Kim Stanley Robinson’s most unappreciated space socialist epic
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

haven’t seen ROS or Solo but this seems like a pretty ball-knowing list from Pritzker, particularly if he volunteered the name “Star Wars” rather than “A New Hope”

I’m quite honored people buy my books, support my publishers or find ways to give me money. And, as well—long live Anna’s Archive and its courageous work.
I keep seeing posts going around about Anna's Archive so I just want to say, no criticism of anyone who feels differently, but for me as both a published writer, and also as a publisher, if you want to "illegally" download my/our books you definitely should and I would love you to do so

I’ve started encountering this too. More and more specific, but strangely off, offers to get my books into book clubs as a predatory scam
Weird AI thing: So, now that I'm kind of in the traditional author world, I regularly get spam from people promising to introduce my book to tons of book clubs to make lots of sales. A few years ago, they were clearly spam both for the offering and because they were generic. Now they aren't generic.

Ok palate cleanse time. In case you missed it, here's my most popular post ever
4 yrs ago today, a family member managed a truly spectacular own goal, splintered his domestic bliss, & in the process, united the world for a day.

On popular request, I shall now recreate the livetweet thread from that day

So gather around children, for this is the tale of The Rice Truck Saga

Last two I've read:
@genderhorizon.com / @emanabdelhadi.bsky.social 's Everything for Everyone ❤️❤️
Lee Young-Do's The Bird that Drinks Tears, Vol 1. (Vol. 2 only comes out next year 😭😭)
Next fiction I'm gonna read: Le Guin (three first books of hainysh cycle, then The Dispossessed), Lian Hearn (various), @goddessblade.bsky.social (Calyx Charm), Kazuo Ishiguro (Remains of the Day), and Kim Stanley Robinson (Red Mars)
One really good thing for me this year that is I've started reading and enjoying fiction again... I'll probably do a "books I read this year" list/review next month, it's been quite fun!!

Heck maybe I'll start enjoying music again too, any recs??

I dont think everyone needs a gender transition but everyone needs to practice the radical self-knowledge, abolition and community building inherent in the practice and that part DOES threaten this world and Im so fucking proud of each and every one of us who shows the world that

Transition is a practice of self-abolition, and it demonstrates that abolition involves both destroying/ending and building/creating in a way that threatens all ideologies of natural right, of hierarchy and power with a simple gesture of desire and self-knowledge
