I remember how stressed I was when I submitted my first paper revision (following peer review). It has gotten easier with repetition for sure.
But also, I don't think I predicted that I'd one day be submitting revisions in-between checking the news for a state terror siege in my neighborhood.

Oh Marry me! I grew up with the 10yr5/4 C horizons, but also the Rubicon sands of northern Lower Michigan. They were things of beauty, also Kalkaska with the deep brown B horizons, sets my heart a flutter 😊
I've had to take a lot of soil science classes for archaeology and they are so fun, highly recommend getting to know the soil. Ohio has really fucking great dirt. It's gonna be a 10YR3/2 over a 10YR5/4 silt loam I can see it in my dreams.
