She’s about 9 months old & so affectionate w/a big personality. She’ll be ready to go after New Year’s! She reminds me of Monkey somehow

(I've never had cancer but for various reasons am high risk, so i get heightened screening, and sooner or later one of these exams will be positive. but not today!)

see it's obvious why participating in X is Bad. more mainstream people gives the space credibility, and attracts normie users, who are then influenced by a rigged algo.
so, classic case of - it is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends on not understanding it

IMO it's hard to combat the dangerousness of the right by participating in a platform where they aren't present.
I think the best way to explain the X vs Bluesky preference is whether a person thinks the left is more annoying than the right is dangerous.
The reason so many Noah Smiths end up on the X side of that equation is that while the left annoys them personally, the right mostly endangers other people.

you cannot combat the dangerousness of the right by debating nazis. you carve them out of civic life you don't engage their bad faith arguments
IMO it's hard to combat the dangerousness of the right by participating in a platform where they aren't present.
