One final bit of good news - 234600 people across the motu voted to remove Māori wards, 245800 to keep them - 51.1% of all votes were to keep them, 48.9% not to. The majority of the country that voted were in favour so suck it coalition!
Can you fix bikes, puncture repair or help out with our big bike fix up? Get in touch!

Aotearoa New Zealand,

Everywhere that Chris Luxon, David Seymour, Winston Peters or any CoC-up govt MPs turn up, I want you to #TurnYourBacks. Give your back to them and their cameras. Do it for Palestine!

If they're speaking, turn your back. If they enter any room, turn your back!

the new zealand government is so fucking pathetic and embarassing
Grieving is weird when you’re numbed on anti-d’s. Any one experienced this?

The next time someone tells you adding good bike infrastructure will disadvantage disabled people, show them this short clip of an Utrecht bike street (fietsstraat).

Controlling cars makes access better for everyone, and opens public space to more of the public.

Māori born overseas should 100% be automatically citizens here. Colonisers keep colonising 🤬
Beware of those promising low rates, and those that have signed pledges. It’s against their rules to do so as everything must be considered at the table, not before.
Hot take of the day: some people don’t deserve lemon trees.
My brother used to have a “piggy” bank just like this.
How did you smash capitalism today? I volunteered at my local bicycle charity, giving free bikes away. #smashcapsdaily
Is it weird to look into my dogs eyes and talk to ghosts? Its only when he’s givibg me love eyes with ears back?
Three big deaths in the last 6 weeks, health complications for my dad who is 89. Can I have a rest now please, my SSRI’s only cover so much pain. 😭

Boycott Nick Cave, the Zionist. Shame.
It’s in the Ballot is painful, but essential it seems. Why don’t we have good coverage and debates of local pols done by actual broadcasters. All power to Sam and the gang. #justsaying
I’m sitting outside Undies laundromat in Whanganui. My step mum died and I’m washing the curtains. Love my whānau but nice to have a break and a thermos of tea with the Mr.

In 1942, National MP F. W. Doidge in a parliamentary debate accused Peter Fraser's government, and in particular Minister of Labour Paddy Webb, of being "spineless" for not cracking down on striking workers during WWII. He was not reprimanded. babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=uc...

None of these invisible, complicit National MP’s turned up to the debate on Gaza.

They could have said something but they didn’t even show up.

Come election and voting, remember these faces and dont vote for them.

It's considered very disorderly, and worthy of punishment, in the House of Parliament to imply that members should have strength of character, if you're wondering what kind of bullshit goes on in there.

I don't know if Speaker Brownlee has a spine or not, but this embarrassing display of faux-civility from another sad little man emasculated by a feisty woman strongly suggest he's a cockless wonder. #nzpol
