A thread of things you can do to help folks in MN.

If you've got funds to throw our way, the below website is a great place to start. I also repost fundraisers regularly as do other people on the ground. 🧵

Two more months until The Unfinished Business arrives!

When Dari inherits The Unfinished Business, she soon finds that handling the unfinished business of the town's ghosts is no easy task - especially when she has ghosts of her own to deal with.

Illustrator friends who wear progressives…where are you getting your glasses from? I normally like Warby Parker, but the cost is intimidating.

Friday #kidlit check-in: It was a heavy marketing week, but I also had a great in-person crit group meeting, a fun live story time, my new picture book got announced AND I started laying out my new dummy. Heavily distracted by the horrors of the government and aging parent stress. How about you?
Despite it all, it's Monday #kidlit check-in time. I'm excited to have a critique group meeting tonight. I'm also digging into notes on a picture book manuscript and starting dummy sketches. Plus, juggling a bunch of marketing tasks. How about you?

NEW — ICE violence has spread well beyond Minneapolis, with agents landing in small cities like St. Cloud. I spoke with Alice Valentine, a local queer trans woman, who protested ICE on Monday and was pepper sprayed, beaten and jailed as a result, along with her girlfriend.

This is Alice's story:

Are people still using Stickermule? I can kinda understand how overwhelming all these kind of “boycotts” can be but this is a case where the guy running it is full blown a Trump fanatic. Talking actual shrines and grand propaganda stunts just show his love for Trump. It’s absurd and your $ fuels it
The latest move by Sticker Mule's owner. Please don't give these people your money (or honestly send them your artwork, you never know).

ICE is out of control. They are the source of the violence and can never be its remedy. In the short term, the only answer is for them to cease operations in Minnesota and leave. Immediately.

In the slightly longer term, ICE must be dismantled and abolished. They cannot be reformed.
