Someone spray-painted the "hang" phrase on a downtown apartment building garage late last week. I also didn't realize that that was where we're at.

NEW: Federal judges are increasingly furious at what they see as a pattern / playbook of defiance by the Trump administration to court orders in immigration cases — in Minnesota and around the country.

Here’s a look at what they’re seeing: www.politico.com/news/2026/02...
How the Trump administration skirts — and defies — court rulings on ICE detentions
A POLITICO review of hundreds of cases brought by ICE detainees shows a pattern of noncompliance that has frustrated judges across the country.

Congress is scrambling to pass a DHS funding bill by Friday, and we need to make it loud and clear that our senators and representatives must oppose any bill that hands ICE and Border Patrol more funding or fails to include strict safeguards to protect our communities.
Tell Your Members of Congress to rein in ICE NOW
On January 24, federal forces with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) killed Alex Pretti in Minneapolis. This was just over two weeks after the killing of Renee Good. These killings are a direc...

Once again, Republicans are happy to burn everything down.
Democrats (with exceedingly few exceptions) are fine with it as long as it's a polite, controlled burn.
Our DHS reform demands are exceedingly reasonable.

We're asking ICE to do nothing more than follow the standards that the vast majority of law enforcement agencies already follow.

Republicans, the ball is in your court. The clock is ticking.

I will be honest: we are not talking nearly enough about the downstream effects of these ICE and CBP deployments.

For example: landlords and debt collectors file more aggressive collection and eviction suits with dubious (or no) factual bases, knowing that the defendants won't go to the courthouse.

Knowingly violating our separation ordinance, and endangering the people that work in and around it, violates our shared values and the trust that residents imbue us with as elected officials.

Per the reskeet just below, today learned about additional state agency complicity to protect ICE not citizens. It is getting worse, and Walz is going to have to answer for decisions he’s made.

I suppose I also take this personally bc attacks on craftivism land poorly with me as a Native person. Beading together, making regalia, sewing in groups — this is at the heart of how the women on my reservation gather to do healing work, political ed, and mutual aid. This has long been true.

starting to feel like there's a direct relationship between the growing obsession with lifestyle hygeine (no drinking, no caffeine, no sex, obsessive working out and looksmaxxing) and the inability to meaningful moral stands on issues of actual import
