Hey definitely call your senators about this. Like seriously.
BREAKING: The House passed the so-called SAVE America Act which threatens to upend our freedom to vote.

The bill could disenfranchise millions of eligible voters by requiring documents like passports or birth certificates to register to vote and forcing voter roll purges. The Senate must reject it.

Can left-wing Canadian politicians please find a different term than 'Green New Deal,' especially in a situation where Canadian voters might be adverse to taking inspiration from the US in policy.

I think the main lesson ICE has learned from Minneapolis is that they can just avoid the big cities and sweep people from the countryside with minimal attention or resistance
ICE is currently holding around 80,000 detainees. Nazi Germany didn't reach this number in its formal camp system until 1942, nine years after seizing power and three years into the war.

One issue with our ability to adapt to crisis that Paul Wells recently noted is that we are intensely reluctant to consider physical solutions to urgent problems.

Everything happens within a comfort zone of legislation, litigation, and negotiation.
Even if we were to grade them on trade (easily their proudest accomplishments), a bunch of signatures on paper isn’t enough. We need more ports and more rail lines, if we want to orient our economy towards the oceans, and we need them now.

as soon as you become a political correspondent in America they take you into a little room in the White House and hit you on the head with a mallet until you lose the ability to retain long-term memories.
After Trump tells NBC News he could maybe use a "softer touch" on immigration, we immediately get the "different tone" narrative from CNN.

Brianna Keilar: "A change of tone for the president. Softer touch."

David Chalian: "He acknowledged learning something that this requires a softer touch."
