Hey a thing I really don’t want to get lost here is that while Tylenol doesn’t cause autism, IT’S FINE TO BE AUTISTIC. Let’s not grant them the premise that autism should be eradicated in our way to correct the science, okay? Okay.

I'm really curious what kind of mundane civil case Kimmel could theoretically have against the fcc for conspiring to mess with his contract. I doubt that would be his best play but still curious.

Everyone should cancel Disney plus right now. It won't actually turn your account off until the next cycle, so you can finish whatever you're watching. Just drive those cancellation numbers as high as we can. There has to be a consequence, no matter how small.

Dear The Media,

When US officials say they have a big deal with a foreign government, you should ASK THAT GOVERNMENT.

Sorry to shout, but how do you not get this already? Asking both sides of a supposed deal was always due diligence, but especially important now that you're covering proven liars.

We have to beat this idea out of our society. It's like when people decide to dislike a movie they've never seen because the box office returns were low. Just brain worms.
Bluesky has a growth problem

Bluesky has hit 38M monthly users, up 8M since March

Once adding 5M users per month, it’s now slowed to 1.6M. A 60% drop

But post volume is falling—more users, less activity

It risks becoming a ghost town with a loyal but shrinking core

Bluesky’s growth momentum has slowed, but it is still growing.

If any one of us regular folk had an affair at work and got caught on TV, we'd have trouble getting our next job. That CEO on the other hand will just become a "discount" for his next company and will only lose a few percent earning power. This might literally improve his prospects.

The same amount of money they're trying to give to ICE could have just been given to immigration courts to work through their backlog in an orderly manner. Don't forget that.

He wants two weeks of attention on him. He doesn't care about the actual details. This isn't complicated.

it should go without saying but you really cannot run a country, or really any organization, like this. you cannot lurch wildly from pole to pole every four years or every four days. you cannot rip up deals and seek deals and then blow up the people you were seeking to re-deal with. doesn't work

I was involved with police training in the late 90s and cops were taught that dangerous shots made with these types of rounds could still constitute lethal force and to be careful. They know. It's not whoopsies. They've been taught a nuanced continuum for use of force and they're ignoring it.

Protesters have come face-to-face in recent days with members of law enforcement wielding “nonlethal” weapons. While these are regularly used in the United States to disperse public demonstrations, they can cause serious injuries.

While they can cause serious injuries, “nonlethal” weapons are regularly used in the United States to disperse public demonstrations, including at the recent ICE protests in Los Angeles.

Horrendous. A man lying on the ground is repeatedly beaten by LA riot police, before one deliberately tramples him with horse.

These officers should face charges.

I was working in the federal funding stream in 2016 and honestly people are still sleeping on how bad *that* was for the functioning of our government, much less the last 4 months.

Can’t say more strongly: they are claiming the power to disappear people with no recourse, to entirely remove anyone they want to, forever, with no ability to stop them.

“Unamerican” doesn’t do it justice. Diametrically opposed to anything even remotely resembling a society we should support.

Creepiest thing about the death penalty is the way proponents act like the execution will go bad if we don't do it. They're often so eager.
