Two National Guardsmen were shot and killed, and now Trump is sending another 500 National Guard to DC. This is bad in every way. More soldiers illegally on the streets won't make anyone safer - it will only INCREASE the odds this happens again. The Guard are being used as political pawns.

100%, we HAVE to demilitarize the police and we need restorative Justice as a top priority - what I was saying was more just my idea of the bare minimum, since I don’t have much faith in Dems to go all the way.
I might be talked into considering this as a compromise, if it were accompanied with complete demilitarization and massive movement to unarmed first responders and restorative justice.
