On this day in 1929, Raymond Moriyama was born in Vancouver.
One of Canada's most acclaimed architects, his buildings include the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo, the Ontario Science Centre, the Bata Shoe Museum, and the Canadian War Museum.
He died in 2023.

The Little Dutch Church in Halifax is the second-oldest building in the city. Built in 1756, only the St. Paul's Anglican Church is older.
To this day, it is still used occasionally for services and is a National Historic Site.
This is the story of the church.
