It really does seem like there's a decent chance that these senators screwed us because they don't want their personal Thanksgiving plans to be disrupted.
Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didn’t like waiting in line at the airport.

Devastating obit.

Interestingly, and obviously not its intent, it prompted me to think of the similarities between Watson and Elon Musk.
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

Flight restrictions, day one, evening update:

We *did* make it to DCA, National Airport in DC, starting from Sioux Falls. Quite late, but we're fortunate.

Here was the arrival board:

—Red is cancelled flights.
—Yellow lettering, delayed flights.
—I count only three saying "on time."

No, we do not yet know which flights are cancelled due to the FAA's haphazardly (not at all?) planned 10% airspace reduction.

So far, this is the messaging from every airline:
a bald man wearing glasses and a sweater is standing in front of a door .
Alt: jerry and george from seinfeld shrug at eachother
