can't DM (admin issue), but I teach queer gothic and *every* term I get a student who wants to work on Rocky Horror (I generally guide them away, for originality) but it's the only text that repeats with inevitably. It's an enormous lodestone of meaning for queer joy, and American normativity

Ever since his family's food rations stopped arriving at their internment camp in Myanmar in April, the father had watched helplessly as his once-vibrant baby boy weakened, suffering from diarrhea and begging for food.
On May 21, exactly two weeks after Taher's little boy died, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio sat before Congress and declared: "No one has died" because of his government's decision to gut its foreign aid program. Rubio also insisted: "No children are dying on my watch."
That, Taher says, "is a lie."

How is this repeatedly made into a policy issue - by *all* parties - when the blunt fact of the matter is that grown adults who are obliged to pay for their own education, and relentlessly pursued to repay their loans, should be able to study whatever the fuck they want.

some time back in the '00s asthma inhalers were reformulated to use this propellant because the old one had CFCs and was a danger to ozone - coincidentally this brought the inhaler back under patent.
I wonder if the patent on the reformulation is about to expire, requiring a new propellant...

The setting is Great Britain. The Tories have been in power since 2010.

Due to National Health Service cuts, trans healthcare has become increasingly hard to access. The waiting list for a first appointment at a gender identity clinic is now 300 years. They don’t want to outright refuse you; that would imply that the health service is over capacity or underfunded. Instead they will simply add you to the end of the list and wait for you to die.

But they are fools. For you have learned the secrets of immortality. And you will get to the end of that waiting list, even if it means waiting another millennium...

This is a game about spite, necromancy, being trans, and a 300 year long NHS waiting list. Although the game itself deals with serious themes, it is set up to be tongue-in-cheek, satirical, super queer, and intimate.

absolute nonsense - anyone who thinks an automated LLM can replace archivists, writers, researchers of any stripe, and professionals who check for accuracy, literally needs their head examined. (freeing actual humans from telemarketing is a public good, however)
