Yr regular PSA that covid and flu are both airborne and the same precautions work for both.*

Mask up, ventilate, filter air, use nose spray if you can. #InfectionIsNotInevitable

*brought to you by being the one person in the drs waiting room who a) didn't have flu b) was wearing a mask 😷

To any of my cis followers who might be wondering what's wrong with the BBC's phrasing...

- "biological male" is deliberate misgendering
- it also implies that trans people are somehow being deceptive, because "biology"
- no trans person "identifies as" *anything*. We just *are*

Hope that helps.
It looks like that BBC page has been updated in the last few minutes, so that's no longer the last sentence. I think part of it has been moved to this paragraph in the middle of the article, and the age is no longer mentioned:

It is genuinely insane to see a judge describe Graham Linehan as a “generally credible witness” in a trial where he claimed Sophia Brooks has been engaged in “trans activism” since 2013 (when she would’ve been 6 years old), then, when challenged, claimed her drivers license lied about her age.

day 12 of recovery!
slept past 10 for the first time in a while, since getting back home last sunday i’ve averaged 10hr 23mins sleep a night which is amazing

when i was on the big painkillers i’d have to take them and my night meds whilst IN bed as they’d make me super sleepy almost immediately

More rights for a mobile phone than an actual human being. There is a very serious problem with the courts in this country.
linehan has been found not guilty of harassment.

linehan has been found guilty of criminal damage.

really starting to wonder exactly what that man has to do to be found guilty of harassment??

he spends every day online doxxing and stalking ppl.

You can literally say what you want about trans people and the UK courts are fine with it.

british courts have decided that harassing and abusing a 17 year old is fine so long as she's trans.

In Morrow County, healthy adults were coming down with unexplained medical conditions, including diseases that usually afflicted the elderly.

In a survey of 30 homes, at least 25 miscarriages and a half dozen people living with one kidney were reported.

Absolutely. I want to add that if you have had ANY work at all published in the UK, in magazines, journalism, fiction, you should join ALCS. I reliably get £500 - £4000 a year from them for licensing rights and the small time cost on my side of filling in a form listing eligible works. They're great
I’d suspect the numbers here are actually even lower than this. This report is only based on authors who shared details of their income with the Authors’ Licensing and Collecting Society (ALCS). That’s more likely to be the ones who write as part of their living.
A reminder that the median book deal for a debut author in the UK is £7000, paid over 12-18 months. (from 2022 Society of Authors report). Some of your favourite writers are struggling. societyofauthors.org/2022/12/06/a....

reducing cash isa limits isn't going to automatically increase stock market investing. if people can't save in a safe way they're not going to just throw their money into a pit they might not get anything back from. ludicrous
Rachel Reeves will reportedly cut the annual cash ISA limit to £12,000 to get more Britons investing in stocks and shares

However, 55% of Britons are unwilling to invest savings in stocks and shares

Among those paying >£10k into a cash ISA, 28% would move the difference into a stocks + shares ISA
With Rachel Reeves looking to get more Britons investing, most of the public (55%) say they are unwilling to invest money in stocks and shares

Very willing: 9%
Fairly willing: 22%
Fairly unwilling: 22%
Very unwilling: 33%

How is this not the top story on every news bulletin?
This has been happening for years and instead of doing anything to protect children successive governments have made the situation worse. This isn't just on councils. It is part of failings on a State level.

More then 2,000 trafficked children and lone child asylum seekers missing from UK councils’ care
Charities say vulnerable young people are being failed by local authorities, the police and central government

I'm not going back to Substack. I will continue to post my newsletters from Ghost. But I did have to get back in there, just to post this and let people who thought I'd vanished know about this utter nightmare: substack.com/home/post/p-...
