i was just talking to my sister's boyfriend and thinking about how grief lends itself so easily to solipsism. the pain and hurt is so massive that i can only imagine it happening to me. i'm the only person in the universe and it sucks the whole time. and it's just not true, EVERYONE is hurting.

it's a long held class system priority:

the lower classes are for working.

any of them not doing that are definitely getting away with something

(for lower classes it's literally anyone not royal/noble/generationally wealthy)

“white working class” is an inherently reactionary concept. it takes working-class issues - which apply to all working-class people - and turns them into white racial issues, which erases working-class POC and only divides working people.

Scotland generates huge amounts of cheap, clean electricity from renewables. That isn't reflected in our bills though, because the UK's energy system is rigged in favour of the corporations who control it, not the people who need it.

it's fair, there are a looooot of drawbacks. and if the thing worked as advertised, without "hallucinations" and blatantly wrong information, mitigating those drawbacks could make me interested. until that point, however, i'm firmly a luddite (in the classic sense of the word)
