The question is, do you feel lucky, human? Well do ya?
I know that trans patients are *far* from the only vulnerable group to fall through NHS primary care's increasingly prevalent cracks, but the current political and media discourse emboldens any clinicians with "protected" "gender critical" beliefs... and the broken system provides them the pretext.
My personal situation aside, the line between a doctors's "protected beliefs" and their duty of care to a particularly vulnerable patient cohort should never be drawn to favour the doctor.
The fact that it sometimes is (often hidden behind "outside our expertise") should be a national scandal.

I just discovered that the GP practice that I'll be moving to later this year has a very trans-friendly doctor and that's made me feel a lot better about my move (my current doctor is great and I know not all GPs are, with trans patients) :)

That’s not actually true, but FWS definitely knocked a lot of my optimism and hope for the future out of me.
