Today I learned that stalking a 17 year old girl, writing up a 400 page 'dossier' about her, falsely reporting her to the police and smashing her phone does not constitute 'harassment'.

One wonders what *would*.

When I repeatedly read 'biological male who identifies as a woman' across BBC News, I just think 'how did we even get here?' How deeply, obscenely cruel a nation we have become, so quickly.

Looks like the EHRC guidance is that cis women and trans women alike need to adhere to suitably feminine appearance standards and carry their gender papers everywhere

The opening paragraph is wild. Aside from the fact that all people should just be able to use spaces appropriate to their gender, how lacking in thought do you have to be to present this as if only trans people will be challenged because...how could that even work??

Okay, I can't let this one go. I live in Ireland, not the UK, but the use of this image by a supposedly socialist party is so stupid and offensive, I'm going to get stuck in.

Let me explain to you why any experienced illustrator/designer could have stopped you making so many miserable mistakes. 1/

I grew up riding the 18 bus to School in central Jerusalem and came very close to a horrible death in more than one bomb attack. It hasn’t made me believe that Jewish safety comes from the right to oppress and kill Palestinians. It hasn’t made me scared of Muslims or a supporter of genocide 🧵

The answer is clear: Bridget Phillipson needs to send this back to the EHRC and tell them that they need to produce a Code of Practice which outlines how to include trans people in services for their lived gender, not try to mandate exclusion even where the service provider doesn't want this.

The 2011 EHRC statutory services code was the result of almost two years work. Numerous consultations were held with relevant stakeholders, including many women's and trans groups.

By contrast, the proposed 2025 code was assembled within weeks, with a one-month consultation assessed by genAI.
