Finished this one last night. If you hanker for affirming stories of trans girls finding themselves and being surprised at how well it goes, you can’t beat these tales.

Like the other collection of hers I read, The Enchanted Forest and other stories, these are (so far) affirming, joyful trans stories. In this case, they’re set in the contemporary everywhere.

So again, a show like this was always going to happen. And the reasons for that are just *not* talked about in hockey spaces because a lot of people don't want to admit them.
But its transcended the spaces it grew out of because its a really well done tv show by someone who makes good tv.

My take on Heated Rivalry (which I've been pitching and editors if you want it, its yours) is that this show was inevitable if you've been on hockey internet the last 3 years even if it remains subversive. Its broad appeal is because its well adapted as a sports show, and romance is huge right now.
