Your suffering is unnecessary. You can have a more joyous, liberated, and supported experience of motherhood. Let's create that together. https://wholehumanmama.com

I decided to expand the free offerings I have for moms on my site this year. Because who doesn't need some more support?

Just put finishing touches on what I'm calling Wednesday Wind Down. Chat, journaling, learning a new anti-anxiety tool, and a meditation. I love this work.

"The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb" - it means the people you choose and the commitments you make are more important than genetic accidents.

Literally the exact opposite of how we usually use it: Blood is thicker than water.
What’s a quote people often cut short that makes you grind your teeth?
For me, one is “The customer is always right IN MATTERS OF TASTE.”

It’s about giving the customer Tabasco to put on their Cheerios if they ask for it, not putting up with any sort of demanding abuse.

At the library, no less.

Trying to be present for your babies while navigating a world built on systemic harm is maddening. We’re raising kids during constant crisis, collective trauma, and nonstop headlines while still trying to provide safety, joy, and stability at home.

It is totally fine for people who have been harmed to hear an apology and refuse to accept it. To acknowledge it and never trust the person saying it. To expect more than words. Get comfortable with the uncomfortable because the real world does not function like a sitcom.

We're not trying to one-up you. We're demanding that you put the pieces of the puzzle together.

I think a lot of us get hope wrong. Hope, I do not believe, is an emotion. In fact, hope makes space for lots of emotions to exist alongside it. You can DO hope scared, angry, sad etc...

Hope doesn't find us. We make hope through action and struggle. It's a practice of living and is re-made daily.

"And no one's doing anything about it"
I need y'all to be specific - because I'm surrounded by folks doing all they can, doing more than they knew was possible. People are in motion.
Who, exactly, do you mean by 'no one'? Say THAT.

Because ICE isn't acting like the SS or stormtroopers now. They are acting like American police forces have always acted. The only difference is that they are doing it to more people in public that aren't Black. The cameras are catching the behavior of jump out squads and task forces in new areas

This. Exactly.
Staying in my house for weeks completely unbothered is my superpower. 🤭 At one point, my Husband even had to force me to leave the house for at least an hour a week. 🤣😭

I’m nice to yall, but most ppl are shit these days, so I do my best to not have to interact w/ them.

At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

If you use in-home medical devices and/or are medically vulnerable, utility companies can flag your account so that you are prioritized in the event of outages and emergencies.

Call your electric and gas companies and ask what supports may be available to you!

If any of y'all (white people anywhere on this planet) had listened when we said this country WOULD eat itself in service to racism, your "Black people aren't exempt from USian hate," might hit a little harder.

You didn't hate the US when they helped you oppress other places for mutual benefit.
It's a macro example of what's going on inside the country. The US finally expanded from terrorizing Black and brown people in the Global South to terrorizing their white neighbors. Only one of these things is a problem for the broader population.
The U.S. has truly become the bad guys. NATO having to protect against a NATO member is insane.

actual self-accountability demands more than acknowledgement of bad judgement or ideas. you have to also take affirmative action to address the terrible things you said and did. you have to do that with no expectations that people you harmed will ever accept or certainly forgive you.

Hey y’all. So. We are in an urgent and difficult situation. We have a storage locker for our belongings, but we can no longer keep up with the payments and have fallen behind. If we’re unable to cover the full $750 balance, everything in it will be lost in 2 days.
