This is the thing that I struggle to get people to understand. I don't want to eradicate my adoptive parents from the history of my life. They raised me and that's important. But I don't want a legal document to lie and say they conceived me. I want to change the document to include EVERYBODY.

As someone else pointed out, the #adoption and fertility indistries don't care who you are, as long as you are cis. If you are cis they will happily register you as parent even if you used donor sperm, donor eggs and a surrogate. But, and now it gets controversial for some if you... >>>
