Constitution?

ICE agents can’t shoot peaceful protesters with “non-lethal” weapons that could injure or maim, particularly at short range, when intentionally aimed the face?

How in the hell is ICE supposed to recruit WHITE nationalist with these unfair constraints?

This is judicial overreach!

Best guess: a #Gahuku Tribesman chanting at the #Goroka festival. His expression reminds me of a haunting photo, I believe, from the book “First Contact” by Connolly & Anderson, 1930.

The image shows a Papua New Guinean man dressed in striking traditional ceremonial clothing, captured in a moment of powerful expression.

His mouth is wide open, as if shouting, singing, or chanting, and his face shows intense energy, emotion, and pride. His skin is painted with yellow ochre across the nose and cheeks, contrasting with his natural dark complexion.

On his head is a large, fan-shaped headdress made of long, black cassowary feathers, with a bright white section at the top center and red highlights around the edges. Around the base of the headdress are rows of shiny white shells and colorful beads arranged in bands, creating a crown-like effect.

He wears multiple layers of necklaces made from shells and beads that rest on his bare chest. His upper body is decorated with white and yellow body paint, adding to the ceremonial appearance.

The background is slightly blurred but suggests the festival setting with other people nearby. The colors are bright and vivid, emphasizing the feathers, paint, and ornaments.

Overall, the image captures a moment of cultural pride during the Goroka Festival, where tribes gather to sing, dance, and display their traditional regalia.

A Gahuku tribesman bursts into a powerful sing-sing chant during the Goroka Festival in Papua New Guinea’s Eastern Highlands. His towering feathered headdress, ochre-painted face, and shell adornments reflect ancestral traditions passed down through generations — a living celebration of identity, pride, and cultural unity.

Solar Dominion — China just locked down both energy and matter. With record 256 GW solar installs, new export controls on lithium, graphite & rare earths, it’s securing the atoms of the clean-tech era. The Petro Age is ending; the Electron Age has begun. #Solar #Lithium #EnergyTransition #LFP #BESS

This bird was not having its photo taken. Running and searching and running. One image, underexposed and it was gone. #RedSatinBird.

The bird perched on a rustic wooden fence has a bright, fiery red-orange head and back, with deep black underparts. Its feathers appear smooth and glossy, especially the wings, which show a warm orange sheen. The bill and legs are black, and the bird’s posture is alert, angled slightly forward as if ready to hop or take off.

The Red Satinbird is a small bird-of-paradise relative found in the mountain forests of New Guinea, usually at elevations between 1,800 and 3,500 meters. Males are strikingly colored — brilliant red-orange above and black below — while females are more camouflaged, in browns and olives.

Males perform simple perching displays to attract females. Their diet consists mostly of fruits and berries, which they forage for in the forest canopy.

This species is part of the family Cnemophilidae (satinbirds), which were once classified with birds-of-paradise but are now recognized as a separate group.

ICUN lists as Least Concern, but they depend on intact montane forests, making them sensitive to habitat loss.

Let’s thwart ICE, everyone needs to stand up and be counted. I call it “Slim Shady”ing”or being a “mimic octopus.” Everyone needs to display flags of targeted countries. Wear them at rallies or on your car when you drive, etc

I didn’t even realize when I first looked at this image that the agent behind him has a gun loaded and pointed at him. I believe I read he was shot with pepper spray. Clearly the agents intent was to injure. At that range, aiming for his head could have dire consequences with a “non lethal” device.

I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.

This image shows an underwater coral reef scene in a vibrant, blue ocean. At the center-right of the image is a large, pink barrel sponge — a tall, cylindrical, and textured marine sponge that looks almost like a rough, hollow column rising from the reef. Surrounding it are various types of corals in different shapes and colors, forming a dense and lively underwater landscape.

Small tropical fish swim all around the reef, adding movement and specks of orange, yellow, and silver to the scene. In the upper left corner, a scuba diver is seen in the distance, silhouetted against the light filtering down from the surface, exploring the underwater world. The overall scene is colorful, full of life, and showcases the rich biodiversity of a coral reef ecosystem.

This is a mural I photographed sometime ago. I did research, had the artist, etc and then lost the info. If I find it, I’ll repost with info.

This image shows a large, surreal mural painted on a wall, combining unsettling and fantastical elements in a vivid, dreamlike style

On the left side, there’s a baby doll figure hanging upside down. It has large, glossy black eyes and a blank expression, contributing to an eerie atmosphere.

In the center, there’s a huge, detailed gray-blue skull with exaggerated features. Its eye sockets contain oversized, bulging eyeballs, one of which looks in a different direction, adding to the unsettling mood. A candle with a blue flame appears to be held by the doll near the skull.
Emerging from the skull’s mouth are tangled, black wires or plant-like forms.

To the right, a stylized, cartoon-like deer figure appears in gold, white, and black, looking calm and graceful, contrasting with the darker imagery beside it.

The background is a gradient of deep blue, gray, and orange tones, creating a dramatic, almost apocalyptic backdrop.

The overall composition blends horror, innocence, and surrealism — giving the impression of a dream or nightmare scene brought to life on a wall.

A tiny Commensal #SeaStarShrimp, #PericlimenesSoror, rides on its host, a Pincushion #StarFish, #CulcitaNovaeguineae.

A small, slender shrimp clings to the surface of a large, rounded sea star underwater. The shrimp is about the length of a fingernail and has a bright reddish-orange body covered in tiny white speckles, with two prominent blue eyes near its head. Its body is sleek and slightly translucent, blending in beautifully with its host.

The sea star beneath it is a pincushion starfish, which looks more like a plump, dome-shaped cushion than a typical starfish. Its surface is covered with dense, rounded bumps and short, finger-like projections, creating a rough, textured pattern. The colors are mostly shades of purple and pink, with some areas showing pale cream or tan.

The shrimp sits nestled among the starfish’s textured surface, almost camouflaged, forming a striking contrast of vibrant red against a purple background — a delicate snapshot of marine life living in close partnership.

I was traveling/diving in Papua New Guinea. Diving was shockingly depressing.
The one stuff was very cool.
What the fuck happened when I was gone? The only thing missing is the brown shirts.

There’s another no kings march on the 18th? Is that correct?

This just makes me smile! Terrific image. Thanks for sharing.
