It occurs to me that Laura Kuenssberg is in full Donald and Davey Stott mode for that interview.
"Mr. Polanski, we know that you do not like planes, but would you get on one to go and see an important world leader?"
"Yes".
"Riiiight".

Have you considered whether fucking off is right for you? Why not try fucking off now, and see how it goes? Fuck off as far as you can, champ. I believe in you. Just when you think you have fucked off as far as you can, steel your reserves, and keep fucking off, forever. Fuckety bye! 👋

Genocide is a 'pet atrocity' apparently

And pricks like this think threatening a block hurts? Be gone and take your inhumanity with you. Your softer, politer fascism will keep you warm at night

'Presumption of innocence' as doctrine only applies in court and only relates to which side has a burden of proof. The defence has no onus probandi because the presumption obtains

It's okay to use words incorrectly but stop pretending it's be wise you're smart rather than ignorant
The presumption of innocence applies to the accuser as much as to the accused. We shouldn’t assume that they’re lying just as we shouldn’t assume guilt of the accused. We must take the time to look at the evidence first before we judge.

I am introducing the Cut It Out And This Time I Really Mean It bill. It provides an additional $57 billion to the murder goons but they will agree to wear business casual Monday through Thursday and if they do any murders they have to put a dollar in this jar.

I can confirm that Sex Matters has been refused permission to bring its anti-democratic, exclusionary, and bigoted challenge to the inclusive space at Hampstead Ponds. More to follow.

It's an article written about a girl who tragically committed suicide except for the small, insignificant detail that she was actually murdered in a transphobic hate crime.

the government paid £4 million for a website that simply links out to AI training courses from other companies rather than using that money to make something actually bespoke

which I guess is actually a pretty accurate representation of this whole damn thing 🥲

“leading her to take risks with her personal safety“ what risks for her personal safety??? Being trans??? Being trans and going outside in the park to meet peers from school????
okay I'm sorry but I fundamentally do not see how this is anything other than victim-blaming Brianna??

Brianna met her killers, one of whom was a friend, in broad daylight. How is that some kind of online-influenced risk-taking?? They could have been meeting up to go to the cinema

SCHOOLS!

Here are fifteen books.

I'm giving them away.

If you're a UK school and would like them, let me know.

I'll pick one of you this evening.

You can share it too, if you like.

Ta.

"We will demand that ICE agents try to use more 'I feel' statements while shooting you in the face."
America does not want us to fund a lawless out of control ICE.

- No more roving patrols or profiling. ICE/CBP are not trained to do this. And it's wrong. Require warrants.
- No more secret police. Take off the masks. Show ID.
- And real accountability for murder and assault.
