I’m actually so stuck on Andrej excitedly sharing this seemingly-impressive use of AI, which actually recapitulates tons of existing work to create new and exciting security issues. Any human engineer would have been like, idk dude just use Home Assistant
This seems like AGI.

It is surprising to me that none of the major platforms have actual _parental control_ features so that we can limit the amount of time that our parents can spend online, and which apps they’re allowed to use. I don’t worry about my teenager’s use of the internet at all, just my octogenarian dad’s.

We've invested heavily in a clown shoe factory and are honestly baffled why people don't see the value add (and commensurate price increase) of unremoveable clown shoes added to every order.

We prioritize safe clown shoes, and will help you learn to walk in them, why don't you want them???
Is this platform still against wearing giant clown shoes or has it moved more towards acceptance?

In the future, AI chatbots may weave ads invisibly into “helpful” advice, steering conversations without you even knowing, argues Daniel Barcay, executive director of the Center for Humane Technology. When the AI we rely on starts steering us for revenue, not our goals, human autonomy is at risk.

Governments and voters are both reacting to algorithm-shaped “public opinion,” not grounded priorities. Immigration feels urgent because platforms amplify fear, pulling parties into hollow performances of toughness. The far right reads that drift as confirmation it’s winning.
