For what it’s worth, as a commander and officer it was my duty, moral obligation, and legal requirement to first question and then to not obey any illegal order I was given.
The same is true for everyone who swear their oath.

*Spoiler Alert* : watched #AHouseofDynamite & it was intense viewing! 1 key possibility that wasn’t in the film direction/plot was that the event could have been an aberration of artificial intelligence thus triggering retaliatory risk. At no point was a visual confirmation via Air Force attempted.
