This is basically magical thinking. It is the thought process of a small, frightened child who just wants mommy to make the pain stop and is getting angry that she can't.
The issue is that this is a grown adult, not a small child, and also when the Democrats do things it's never good enough.

Maybe even run for office yourself, if you think you can do a better job. But most of you will come up with reasons why it's impossible, while handwaving the structural obstacles Dems in power are under.

To be fair, 15-20% is millions of people, and enough to swing a state or two in a general election. Having that much support is invaluable. Because even if a small amount of those people would jump in front of a bullet for this admin, that's still more than zero.

Yeah, that's the conclusion when you read in-between the lines. It basically goes without saying that most people won't want to just wantonly murder innocent civilians; so, when one asks if they can do so, unprompted, the threshold of reasonable moral responses has long been crossed already.

It's crazy to think about...

Prior to Trump, every president in American history - even the bad ones - has had a moment where they were able to show humility, honesty, self-awareness, regret, and/or restraint. Even Nixon knew when the jig was up & it was time to call it, if only for his own good.
