Thanks for following me. I will mainly use this account to promote discussion & awareness of cycling safety, active transport, progressive urbanism and action on climate change, But I will also post or repost things that interest me.

I will also promote my books; many will be free ePDFs.

I was proofreading by latest book at my local cafe when a fellow patron saw the title of the book I was reading on my laptop and raised the alarm with the owner.

They only saw “how to get away with attempted murder” not “with malice aforethought” meant.

More details soon (it’s about cyclists).

Nothing to see here
Cops were frequently getting caught planting drugs in 2017 because body cameras were new and many of them didn't understand how the technology worked.

When cops hit "record" it saved the 30 seconds from *before* they hit the button. Eventually, they figured it out.
Why Cops Frequently Got Caught Planting Drugs in 2017
Look. All technology comes with a learning curve.

💡 In today’s world, the truth can’t hide—and that’s bad news for the #Kremlin. Russian oligarchs warned #Putin: the economy has 3–4 months left. Inflation’s worse, layoffs surge, and #Lukoil begs for help. #Moscow restaurants close more than during the pandemic. Higher taxes won’t fix this.

My MAJOR concern here, for the world, is the 39% of Americans who approve of what Trump is currently doing.

This is why the rest of the world needs to: 1) learn to live without America, and 2) be able to defend itself *from* America.

Australia adopted “Vision Zero” yet driver insurance is still optional (so no financial accountability), side window tinting was recently made darker (so no eye contact with cyclists or pedestrians) and also half the country doesn’t have annual vehicle inspections.

Here we pay lip service only.
Vision Zero means building a world where zero people are killed or seriously injured in preventable crashes.

Developed in Sweden, Vision Zero was brought to the U.S. in 2014 as a result of our organization’s efforts.

It’s a strategy now adopted across five continents.

With the world heating up [and more pedestrians being killed], why are more SUVs being sold?

“It’s the industry that has driven the demand through huge marketing & advertising campaigns in recent years. SUVs offered the industry a simple way of charging more for a vehicle that does the same thing.”

The real reason is because it makes the car companies more money. They tried to make the claim that they made us all safer but they just kept getting bigger along with our trucks which actually just made everything more dangerous while also more expensive. In the end it’s always about the money.

"We'll never again allow an election to be stolen."

TRANSLATION:
"We will never lose another election because we will be in charge of all elections."
While Trump is saying he’s going to do a hostile military occupation of elections/voting, the liberal media class will treat it as a regular polling issue on whether people want that or not. This just creates the conditions to signal to people to accept it when it happens.

Since then, Amazon Web Services got a $580M Pentagon contract.

And this week, Pete Hegseth visited Blue Origin facilities as the DoD overhauls how it hands out defense contracts.
