Growing up, I always feared to let my hair grow too long because of the discrimination, not wanting to bring attention on me but also the stereotype of "boys should not have long hair bla bla".

I've begun to trust nothing on the internet made in the past two or so years. Making ai better makes everything else less credible. I don't care if it's as harmless as a video of a crow sliding down a roof on a frisbee, if a human wasn't involved in the creation process it's not worth looking at.

Also on "well isn't *spell checking* AI???" smug arguments: Every spell checker on every software I use to write has gotten worse and stupid as more and more ML features have been added. It literally cannot do better than a simple strict check for words not in a dictionary.

I've made it a personal goal to stop using the term "content" when referring to media made by artists. The word implies mass-produced filler and calling someone's hard work their "content" has started to feel kinda like an insult. Like human art made strictly for quick consumption
the enthusiasm for generative AI would not have been possible without prior decades of capitalist conditioning to view works of art as products, rather than acts of culture and shared human life
I think the fundamental gap here is that non-creative people think that creative people make things for the end product, when in fact it’s the act of creation and not the end point that makes it worthwhile.
