Well comprehensive criminal justice reform hasn’t been attempted in the U.S. partially because you guys poisoned the well by setting up an autonomous zone where a black teenager was almost immediately murdered, so I think reform is worth trying before we go with societal collapse

I mean if it does he’ll still be better than cornyn or Paxton, but also I think hes taken enough corageous stances on other issues that he’s earned credibility there
Also I think ‘more border security’ still leaves the door open for plenty of good policy eg pathway to citizenship

I do have to say there are ways to try to influence the environment but I think that in the context of a texas senate race not doing that on the specific issue of the border probably makes sense

Yes I have, I have pointed to the possibility of criminal justice reform as has happened in the U.S. before and in other countries. If your concerns extend to preferring tearing down the entire system and risking societal collapse over reform, not much I can do about that

I think it was pretty clear it was going to go this way, if you’re going to go negative in a primary you have to be very careful about it (eg flanagan bringing up Craig’s Laken Riley vote in mn was well handled) not treat it like a tumblr callout

ive had reasonable discussions on this topic with marxist-leninists before because they engage with the real world and with solutions that might be necessary to solve problems, you guys dont so i feel no need to engage with any criticisms you have of liberal democracy

it would be better if absolutely nothing changed about the current system than if we tried your system because it's stupid and evil, and so improving the current system as it has been gradually improved over decades is indeed a better solution than the emmett till method
