I think Zohran understands, unlike a lot of his very online supporters, that actually running a functional NYC administration is going to be a lot more effective victory for "the Left" than anything else he can do, and that doing that is in no way, shape, or form something you can take for granted.
it is, to me, insane that people mad at Zohran for endorsing Hochul without explicit promises in her *primary* are also just pretending that other *primaries* aren't happening and he's stuck with this state leg. No, he's not! this is to help ensure Hochul doesn't block anything

there are technically complex aspects of politics where you should give appropriate deference to those with expertise: protesting is not one of them, it is definitionally something done mostly by amateurs when successful. the appropriate response to someone trying to pull rank like this is dismissal
I never claimed to be a leader of anything, and I’m not, I’ve been doing what thousands of other Minnesotans have been doing. With that said I know why it’s working because I SEE IT WORK: because the observers are disciplined, committed, nonviolent, and open. Their channels are open and HUGE.

I think you should read more about the civil rights movement if you think “people getting killed” rules out civil disobedience as a tactic!
The point of civil disobedience is to get yourself arrested not killed. When the government starts killing people for civil disobedience you start getting a low level rebellion/civil war.
