The economy is basically stagnant, or declining. And this is before the tech bubble bursts. Sky-high stock prices mostly affect the rich, not average Americans. However grumpy the public is now, it will be a lot moreso in 2026, 2028 will be ugly, and 2029 awful as the GOP steals the election.
