"Salo, or the 120 of Sodom." The movie's a masterpiece, but the subject matter is so disturbing that no one in the lobby after (myself included) seemed to want to make eye contact and have someone acknowledge him/her having attended it. 😐

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.

It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

Why not call them up to do something else? Pick up trash in Peoria or mow lawns in Rockford? If their time is gonna be wasted and lives disrupted, might as well put them to work doing something that actually helps Illinois rather than have them be cosplay extras in the feds' swat team music videos.
