Just experienced the most intense tear gassing of my life by federal officers outside the ICE facility in Portland where marchers gathered. There was no fast exit as they indiscriminately threw loads of gas and flash bangs. Children were in the crowd screaming. @oregoncapitalchronicle.com

Philando worked at my kids’ school. I think of him every time I drive that road.

In our current hellscape, running the damn ball can take lots of forms. Feeding people, showing up for people. Sorting diapers, basically things that excise a small portion of pain from the world, and/or inserting a modicum of joy. Others may have more and better examples.
