It's so confusing ... ICE agents are acting like criminals, and criminals are posing as ICE agents.

“A shakedown”: The New York Times reports that Donald Trump wants the Justice Department to pay him $230 million in compensation for criminal investigations. Former DOJ official Liz Oyer tells The Weeknight that Trump is “sticking his hand in the taxpayers’ pockets…to enrich himself.”
I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this. It’s a kind of pain that is indescribable. Remember though, it is not your fault. Being there for them if/when they decide to climb out, is sometimes the best we can do.

Easily several hundred people have packed into this plaza in Chicago's North Center tonight in response to ICE abducting a daycare worker early this morning.

This is a neighborhood that has largely been spared until now from the "Midway Blitz" terror campaign. But everyone knows someone affected.

Trump: "They're gonna make DC a state and they're gonna make Puerto Rico a state. So now they pick up two states, four senators. They're gonna pick up electoral votes. It's gonna be a very, very bad situation. Now, if we do what I'm saying, they'll most likely never obtain power."

A highlight of last night I'm not seeing much today:

Spanberger, Shirrell, and Mamdani all won clear majorities of young male voters last night.

Good people working hard in Ohio and getting results.
🚨 🚨

Huge movement in the formerly red suburbs of Greater Cincinnati tonight.

School board flips. Local city hall and township seats. Judicial flips.

All historic.

Flashing red light in what used to be biggest GOP strongholds in Ohio.

2026 is coming!!!!!

Again, these maps have got to be causing a massive panic in any state where they're considering gerrymandering.
“.. There were no counties or cities (as of writing) that moved right relative to four years ago. On average, they instead moved 13 points to the left.”

And they're living it up with dancing girls at Mar-a-Lago and drinking bubbly at the new Café de Rose Garden and hitting companies up for Trump's opulent ballroom and squeezing a 747 from Qatar and selling watches and crypto and sneakers and otherwise making a mint.

It shouldn't be hard at all.

If Russell Vought wants a progress report on how his federal worker “trauma strategy” is performing, Virginia, who has the 2nd largest federal workforce, flipped 13 seats blue yesterday.

What's happening in TX-18 is more obscene than not seating Grijalva during pro formas. Turner died in March. Abbott delayed the special election until yesterday, and now it goes to a runoff early *next year.*

Congress can and should require special elections to be held within 90 days of a vacancy.
