The diplomatic efforts Biden put into uniting EU against RU are paying significant dividends, and history will credit the administration, even if legacy media mostly ignored it.

That Pentagon *press corps* performance with Matt Gaetz and Laura Loomer among those asking questions feels like a pretty good indicator of how far over the cliff we are. Worth checking out. 🇺🇸

I can’t believe they have the nerve to still have “Democracy Dies in Darkness“ in their masthead.
This is what it looks like when billionaires own the media.

Weren’t they caught feeding ICE? Yes, the Salvation Army, feeding ICE goons.
It's that giving time of year again, so this is a reminder that no matter how they try to dress it up, the Salvation Army is not a charity.

This is truly the best of what America can be and often is. I can’t fathom not feeling proud of what we’ve built here, and I’m endlessly gutted by the hateful bigots who are trying to tear it all down.
Anyway the best I've ever felt about America was me (Jewish) standing in line with my friend and her daughter (Irish and Latina) to pet a baby lamb at the Minnesota State Fair alongside a hijabi Black woman and her daughter, an East Asian family, an African-American family, and some white people.

Nayra Guzmán was 15 days post C-section — going to see her baby in the NICU — when she was taken to Broadview and held in custody for about 34 hours.

She slept on a bench and barely got food. She couldn't pump.

Her story is a rare window into the growing detention of pregnant & postpartum people.
Her baby was in the NICU. She was in ICE detention.
Before Trump took office, postpartum immigrants were rarely detained by ICE. Nayra Guzmán was detained while her 15-day-old baby was in the NICU.

Last week, ICE arrested and separated a father and son after a routine check-in. Six-year-old Yuanxin had just enrolled in the first grade at an elementary school in Astoria. Now he's in custody, alone. ICE won't say where. This cruelty serves no one. It must end.

Look how PROUD he looks when Hegseth starts attacking the press and calling them fake news.
Q: So you didn't see any survivors after that first strike?

HEGSETH: I did not personally see survivors. The thing was on fire. This is called the fog of war. This is what you in the press don't understand. You sit in your air conditioned offices and plant fake stories in the Washington Post

Thinking of adding an entire section for my teeny tiny unincorporated community where I grew up.

Not many controversies when nobody lives close enough to see their neighbors though.

Someone put up a floodlight in the 90’s that irked some folks. And Cole blew up a huge stash of Tannerite once.
I think a good bit would be if one of these barely-populated towns had an incredibly detailed Wikipedia page and had whole sections that were like "The least popular man in town is Gary. Nobody likes Gary." - followed by sub sections titled "Gary: Controversies."

The right's anti-empathy shtick has predictably slid into straight psychopathy. At worst these are low-level cocaine smugglers. More likely they're locals trying to make some extra income. Some are likely innocent.

Meanwhile, Trump just pardoned a high-level distributor. And an ex-dealer leads HHS.
Megyn Kelly's not only getting more brazen with her xenophobia, far-right conspiracy theories and coziness with antisemites and racists — she's an unapologetic, bloodthirsty cheerleader for war crimes.
