No state with a Republican secretary of state is going to enforce the eligibility rules on Republican voters. It will be used exclusively to disenfranchise Democrats.

I mean, they thought he would govern like he did in his first term, and he didn't.
February 12, 2026 at 1:17 PM
They think that politicians are there to serve their constituents and that anything that doesn't is betrayal and corrupt.

Republicans never stopped going on CNN. They bash it, but boycotting to remove legitimacy is simply not something that happened.

Just because you lost a battle does not mean that all the tactics you employed in that battle therefore do not work. This type of analysis is just dumb.

Has this strategy ever worked, anywhere, by anyone?
February 12, 2026 at 9:09 AM
If you don't believe it is possible to persuade people by having them view your message, then a billion dollars a year are wasted on political ads that do nothing.
February 12, 2026 at 9:09 AM
Has the "don't validate this mainstream outlet watched by millions of people" strategy ever worked?

it costs about infinity more dollars to build a subway station than a bus stop

Leftist electeds have about 100x better politics than the leftist base, who to this day are asserting their infinite correctness in opposing Harris and genocide Joe.
February 12, 2026 at 6:00 AM
American anarchism is predicated most strongly on the idea that you have free license to do whatever you want to society because society never did anything for you.

And, for that matter, "ramping up deportations" by, say, hiring more immigration judges to process asylum claims faster (the bipartisan bill) is not the same as "ramping up deportations" by grabbing everyone you see and deporting them. You've done a ton of work to classify these as the same thing.
February 11, 2026 at 9:47 PM
The difference between a policy of, say, deporting undocumented immigrants with criminal records, and deporting all undocumented immigrants, is not in fact just "ramping up what was happening." It is different in fundamental substance.

It's happening because Harris lost the election.

It's not quite the pro-crime caucus of the fox news imagination but there was definitely an anti-anti-crime caucus that reached critical mass during the heady years which really needs to stay in the past where it belongs.
February 11, 2026 at 9:42 PM
It is utterly deranged to claim that this Biden policy, which separated several hundred children in a year - let's say that's not great - is meaningfully the same as Trump's policy which separates thousands every year, which doesn't include children simply deported.
February 11, 2026 at 9:31 PM
It was "easier to ignore" because there were less beatings, murders, disappearances, family separations, revocations of existing legal status, and immigrants and minorities who are living in daily fear, just like how antisemitism became harder to ignore in the 30s.
February 11, 2026 at 9:01 PM
It is true that Trump did not invent the American immigration system out of whole cloth. It is also true that he represents a significant and major break from what came before, which was an immigration policy resembling that of most modern states, and is now an engine of ethnic cleansing.
February 11, 2026 at 8:56 PM
My argument is that Trump has done significantly more harm than most Democrats, which is agreed on by pretty much every immigrant activist organization, almost every immigrant, most leftists, and about 99% of Bluesky sans you.
February 11, 2026 at 8:43 PM
In this conversation you've done a shitton of telling me what I believe and it really hasn't gone the other way.
February 11, 2026 at 8:40 PM
I see where we're at the point where you just start making shit up and pretend other people said it because you're dead wrong on the facts.

People living in a high-crime area isn't the same as having them tortured and raped by prison guards.

These are only equivalent if "being in Mexico" and "being in a concentration camp" are the same, which they are not.
February 11, 2026 at 8:25 PM
The article doesn't describe any torture or rapes happening in the voluntary encampments in Mexico.

You aren't reading the shit you are posting.
February 11, 2026 at 8:22 PM
Once again you post an article you haven't read, as the article matches my description of what's happening (voluntarily established camps where people are free to leave) and not your description (a government-run concentration camp where people cannot leave).
