I'm delighted that the UK will be re-joining the Erasmus scheme. This is something the Lib Dems and I have long championed. Erasmus opens doors for young people from the UK and across Europe to share experiences, broaden horizons, and build lasting connections.

Erasmus live updates: Scheme to return for UK students from 2027
British students will be able to spend a year studying at EU universities without paying extra fees, and vice versa for European students.

Pandemics don’t start in hospitals. They often start in animals.

That’s why university vet schools matter so much for public health and pandemic preparedness.

I’ve written about the proposed closure of Cambridge Vet School and why it has national consequences.

🚨 Today Al Pinkerton will introduce a 10-minute bill that calls for a UK-EU customs union.

It's time for Labour MP's to back our bill and help turbocharge our economy.

The Liberal Democrats are proud to have stopped Nigel Farage’s attempt to pull Britain out of the ECHR, a move that would have torn up people’s rights and abandoned Churchill’s legacy.

Yesterday, Cambridge's Labour MP abstained on Farage's Bill to leave the EHCR. The @libdems.org.uk stood up for human rights and decency. Cambridge deserves better than Labour.

As so often, @laylamoran.bsky.social finds gracious, unifying words.

This really shouldn't even need saying, let alone agitating for. It is a truism more than a proposition.
Lib Dem leader Davey: “The Government needs to block any future contracts with Tesla, and block Musk from being granted a license to supply energy to British homes

“Ministers should make clear that if you are egging on violence on the streets of the UK, you are not someone we can do business with.”

Truth is: stopping Farage (tonight, in Newmarket) is gonna look a lot like this for the next few years. It can also be quite fun and does at least get you out of your own echo chambers.

The Conservatives have lost overall control of Surrey County Council for the first time since the 1990s after the Lib Dems won a local by-election.

Voters in Surrey are backing the Liberal Democrats' community politics over the Conservatives, just as they did in the General Election.
