These articles always talk about the billions of dollars of gold - but that is effectively the money that is going overseas, leaving kiwis with pennies in the dollar.

In 2024/2025 the NZ Govt received a total of $143 million from all mining, all sources.

One more update: ironically, the Woolworths phone line appears to be down/exceptionally busy - probably because they have locked out the Customer Care Centre workers - so we recommend you email [email protected] if you'd like to provide any feedback in the meantime.

This is a really significant ruling - it’s some important that commissioners, especially human rights commissioners, aren’t just installed because they align with the current regime’s political positions. Today an Aotearoa court has ruled it illegal.

small country fings - when you're getting bad service from a major nationwide telco, *multiple* people say "hit up Jase the CEO, on the socials, he'll sort ya"
Has anyone ever tried to (repeatedly) cancel an account with One NZ (for a service that wasn’t delivered) and then got stuck in a vortex where they tell you it’s cancelled and fees are waived then bill you again so you cancel again by email, online, messenger, phone then they bill you again and😬
