There is an infantilization of Greta in some online discussions that really bothers me, and though I am finding I have a weird time trying to explain why I am so bothered, I think it boils to: Neuro-divergent people are not inherently more naive, more innocent, more righteous, or more childlike.

Geez... CAQ in Quebec trying to claim that inclusive pronouns and word endings make the language too difficult is rich. We require 8 year olds to memorize like 10 verb tenses, QC French generally is full of portmanteaux and neologisms, and everyday people use pretty creative grammar and spelling.

I took a Bitsy game I never finished, about a maple syrup heist, and turned it into a poetic memoir about finishing things, for a @gamepoems.bsky.social submission. I'm told it will be shared this weekend at the Winchester Poetry Festival in the UK, which I'm excited about. Takes ~5 mins to play.

sometimes you break off a friendship because it's for the best but you still really miss that person years later. how fucked up is that!!! i'm very happy with my circle of friends, yet i think i will miss this person for the rest of my life

Canada Post “lost” 1 billion dollars last year?

How about, “it cost Canadians 1 billion dollars to have a national postal service” which works out to costing about $25 a year per person (population of Canada in 2024 = 40 million). Seems like a pretty reasonable cost to me.
