Was just at a neighborhood school at dismissal. Hundreds of people with whistles surrounding the school and stationed down every block making sure ICE doesn’t snatch anyone. The same is happening at all the schools around here. I love my neighborhood and I love Chicago.

50 years ago tonight, on Friday, Oct. 10, 1975, a "great Top 40 show group" played at Les and Jim's Lincoln Lanes in Merrill in north-central Wisconsin. That group was Cheap Trick, just getting started with Robin Zander as lead singer. This was a year and a half before their first LP came out.
