fantastic - thank you for sharing Kansas fossils. I thought for a second this was the classic fish-within-a-fish one at the Sternberg, but I think this specimen is even bigger!

Seeing what happened to the Post reminds me my theory of the secret 0th Amendment to the Constitution: "Neither the government nor its citizens shall ever impinge on a business's sacred right to make money." The 0th Amendment isn't an emergent property though--asshole billionaires got us here

I preferred it when each website had a specific single thing it specialized in and was its clear sole reason to be used, what it did best, before every website tried to copy every feature from every other website with the ludicrous mission to I guess be the only site their users go to for everything

If a site sees that I am using an ad blocker and instead of chastising me or blocking content, it just asks politely for a donation? at a *minimum* I am turning my ad blocker off and you'll probably get a donation too. Good work, @motherjones.com team. That's how you do it.
