I suffer from "too many projects" syndrome. Right now I am:
*building a prototype browser-based multiplayer game.
*starting two new regular RPG campaigns
*in planning stages for a West Marches style campaign for my extended friend group
*all the client work I gotta do to keep the lights on.

Another year, another $350 a month increase in health insurance. Why do freelancers charge so much, you might ask? Because our health insurance is practically 2x our mortgage and going up 15% PER YEAR.
I cannot raise my prices by 15% per year. Everything about healtcare in the U.S. is fucked.

"The Cruelty Is the Point" was something I was seeing said online a lot, but it didn't hit home for me the scope of it until this morning when I realized - a lot of us with empathy are feeling pretty terrorized by everything that is going on. That's not an accident either.
