Yes-anding this to add that it is also really important to acknowledge when I realize I was wrong about something!
One thing I’ve done that’s improved literally every relationship I have, romantic, professional and platonic, is explicitly acknowledging when someone is right about something.

My husband put a healthy kid with flu on ECMO yesterday, please get your flu shot!

Re-upping this in case someone needs to hear it going into the weekend and New Years. You aren’t alone— this is the hardest time of the year for so many people, and there’s *nothing* wrong with you if you’re one of them.
The next few days are going to be hard. The fear is palpable. So please, if you’re at all wondering: I wish you could see how much the world needs you. Right now, all that matters is getting to morning.
