Last time we saw this, it was some kind of MMORPG, with user designed ships (and characters?). A very weird direction to take one of the most beloved single-player games of (lol) 3 console generations ago. That was SIX years ago though, so who knows what it is at this point. I’m patiently waiting.
Unbelievably, 17 years after its original announcement, Ubisoft appears to still be hiring for Beyond Good and Evil 2

Already I’ve seen a few tweets about The Odyssey images moaning about ‘historical accuracy’. I pray these people realise this is a movie—a story—and not a documentary. Also The Odyssey isn’t real to begin with.

AITA: I have a bucket list trip to the arctic circle next year to finally, hopefully, see the Northern lights in real life, and they keep showing up in Stoobiedoobie, Indiana (or wherever) and is annoying the hell out of me. AITA? #northernlights

Listen the BBC is ours to denigrate and accuse of bias, and rightly so, but I won’t have some walking sweaty orifice having a pop. For a billion pounds no less. It’s comedy.

I love the future.

Email subject: “Ready to start the next title in the “His Dark Materials” series?”

I literally started it yesterday. What a waste of everybody’s time.

Judge rules George R.R. Martin and other authors can sue OpenAI for copyright infringement

• Said ChatGPT generated 'Game of Thrones' content similar enough to infringe copyright

• OpenAI’s motion to dismiss was denied

Listening to an Audiobook is not 100% as good as reading a book yourself. Sorry Audiobook fans, but you’ve read the narrators version of the book, not the book you’d create in your own head. And therefore, it’s not quite as good—maybe 97% as good.
Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat

Tarantino is bad discourse showing up on my TL. 😞

If it’s so easy to copy old films, and synthesise them into new ones, why doesn’t everyone just do what he does? Unless… could it be… they DO try to do that and fail miserably?

Also show me which film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood rips off.

Fucking finally! I’ve literally been waiting 20 years for this version. I even downloaded a fan edit and watched that.

Literally every day (and some days multiple times) I’m reminded that this guy is THE PRESIDENT. Like do his voters not realise he’s the biggest loser of all time!? 3 more years of this. 🤦
“I can't believe ABC Fake News gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back. The White House was told by ABC that his Show was cancelled!”

Ok I won’t feel guilty watching Alien Earth tomorrow but I’m still fucked off with Disney as a whole. And a lot of companies. I get it, you’re in a bind right now, Trump IS THE PRESIDENT, he can and will hurt you (illegally, sure, but his base doesn’t care).
September 23, 2025 at 6:21 AM
I do feel for Disney (as much as one can for a multinational corporation).

Recently, the right were instigating a boycott for having black characters in their movies.

Now the left are, because of the kowtowing to Trump, and its (real) implications about free speech.

See the difference?
September 20, 2025 at 12:40 AM
Right then. Shits getting real. Time to put your money where you mouth is lefties and #boycottdisney. Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, Disney+. I refuse to consume any of it until Kimmel is reinstated and apologised to. Fuck it all.

Prequels are so hack. I wish people would stop doing them. Can anyone name one as good as the original work?

Angela Rayner resigning is just so, so depressing. The UK is well and truly fucked. People painting flags all over the place, Reform polling high. Labour being ineffectual losers. Prices are sky high. How will we ever get out of this mess?

MOVIE VOICE OVER GUY: Next summer, get ready for more zany antics with JC and his crazy crew. Watch out for Kevin Hart as Judas (“Where’s ma silva!”), Rob Schneider as Peter (“I don’t know this retard!”), and a very s t e a m y
That everything about the "2" here (the colour, the font, the fact that it's ever so slightly tilted) makes it look like a zany comedy sequel, is especially funny

I don’t really understand the derision over the UK’s new age verification laws. Yeah determined people will circumvent them, but a percentage will drop off—this has already been noticed by the big pornography websites. It’s much easier for a child to delete some history than explain to their…

The Sydney Sweeney jeans discourse is one of those stories that really annoys me in how utterly fabricated it is, and how social media fuels these non-stories from tiny inconsequential embers into a culture war infernos.
