Cities and transit, politics and housing, art and theater, travel, trains. Proud ED of Meatpacking District NYC. Opinions my own.
There is a confluence of extraordinary infrastructure projects on the West Side that require big thinking and the city & state to work together. On Monday, the @nydailynews.com published my #oped about it. It’s an exciting opportunity — check it out!

From the guy who literally wrote the book on Elon Musk:
It's important to remember that any principled effort to remove fraud from America's public life would start with an all-out push to prosecute and imprison Elon Musk.

There is no bigger fraudster alive today.

Love riding the M12 to work but it’s absolutely packed this morning, as it is most mornings. @mta.info @nyctransit.bsky.social we need more than 2 M12s an hour, the route has certainly proved its popularity!

I object to the scale here.

18% is the lowest but my neighborhood in the congestion relief zone (Hell’s Kitchen) is way way lower at 13% and the metric that really matters - using a car to get to work - it’s just 3%. That 10% are the wealthy that use their cars for leisure.

I’m thrilled to welcome more housing & dismayed by an old guard who thinks status quo saves us. Newsflash: we’re in crisis bc past policies got us here. Thx @ebottcher.bsky.social @nycspeakeradams.bsky.social for #CityOfYes. Let’s build housing & increase affordability!

One thing a lot of people don't realize about the Barcelona Superblocks is that all of them allow cars. Look at the number of garages. The key is making the street not lead anywhere useful so people don't constantly drive through.

Lots of people are about to be really mad that price of eggs goes up but they can’t get a 2nd job because they can’t afford childcare and when they do finally get the eggs they get E Coli because there’s no FDA but can’t go to the doctor because they got kicked off their health plan. #FAFO
