Just found a newspaper from 2002, which was given to me the day my youngest was born by the hospital as a keepsake. The paper cost 35 cents. Below the fold was an article about Gaza. It was about a terror attack inside Israel committed by Hamas. This has been happening for 8 decades.

It's time for the occasional reminder that if you don't include alt text wth your images, anyone who relies on a screen reader to read your post will only see that it's an image with no clue what it's an image of.
This is especially important for images with a lot of text. #AccessibilityMatters

I've noticed that writing advice doesn't really transfer from one person to another. What works for one writer very often doesn't work for another writer. I read "how to write" books for years to no avail before I discovered This One Weird Trick That Only Works For Me, Not You, Sorry.

Apparently it’s a crime to remind military members to follow the law and refuse illegal orders (something that it is ingrained in basic) and the pentagon can recall you into the service to discipline you. However, the pentagon will not prosecute you for dodging the draft five times.

Ok ladies & gentlemen we need to stick together because starting today we THE PEOPLE are boycotting the shopping of big box retailers from November 25th today through December 2nd. We need to show these corporations that gouge us we are fighting back. We will not stand 4 their bullshit anymore.

It turns out my visiting nurse had planned on stopping by tomorrow since she's driving into Boston, but I told her it's a holiday and not to stop by. I ended up changing the bandage mostly by myself, so I can know how to do it tomorrow, and she only helped a little to clean out the inside...

Such classic gaslighting it's an instructive moment. The question is not whether generic is better or worse, it's that a list with more expensive brand names is not the same as a list with cheaper generics. Perverting that truth into an attack on those calling it out is Manipulation 101.
