This video will inspire you and break your heart and remind you why we humans have a chance - this is famous Ukrainian ‘Schedryk’ - you might know it as Carol of the Bells - performed live at one of DTEK thermal power situations ruined by Russian attacks

P.s. it will make you cry.

Since my name keeps getting called out here, I thought it would be useful to take a look at Greenpeace's analysis here.

A quick thread:
He's done so by ignoring long-term costs, the precedent it sets federally and the very real risk to frontline communities. I find it irresponsible and I'm hoping through this back and forth that the full story (and its impacts) behind this political betrayal can be brough to light.
Did someone say MOU? Reading between the lines of Mark Carney’s plan to build an oil pipeline from Alberta to the BC coast - Greenpeace Canada
The Carney government's MOU with the Government of Alberta to build a new tar sands pipeline rolls back key climate policies and attacks Indigenous rights.

January 6 was like a much dumber version of Hitler’s Beer Hall Putsch and yet a plurality of American voters were like, Yeah, let’s give that guy the nuke codes again. An absolutely world historical debacle of societal ignorance. I’ll never understand it.

Insane but true fact: making US roads as safe as Canadian, Australian, or European roads would save more lives than eliminating murder from the US.

Appalling for sure. On the other hand, it proves Reiner's critiques of Trump to have been correct.
Not that it's not appalling enough, but this is an official US Government post, paid for by our federal tax dollars.

This is fucking grim. Somebody invented a white guy, an "IT professional" named Edward Crabtree, who stopped the Bondi shooting and spread it all over the internet, which was picked up by AI agents and slop aggregation sites.

The real hero is a fruit stand owner named Ahmed el Ahmed.

I am surprised what a visceral response this video prompted in me.
This is college in the United States. Video from inside a Brown University building shows the moment that police found a group of students who were sheltering after the shooting on campus. This isn't freedom.

Agree with Greg — this part has long confounded me. Abrego Garcia agreed to go. But the admin wanted him to suffer.

These people are monsters.
This is getting lost: For weeks Trump officials had the option to remove Abrego Garcia to Costa Rica, but refused to do so. Instead they kept trying to send him somewhere more dangerous. Costa Rica wasn't cruel and dehumanizing enough.

This is deeply sick conduct.

As the floor-crossing dust settles, Conservatives are bracing for more defections
After MP Michael Ma crossed the floor from the Conservatives to the Liberals, it's the best of times for Liberals and the worst for the CPC.
