Not a fan of DHS funding for 2 more weeks, but at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel, unless Schumer fucks it up with his meaningless demands that will do nothing to keep anyone safe from ice who will just ignore them.

We worked real hard to keep the number of polling stations low in blue areas, creating massive precincts, and for some reason those votes take longer to count now, and they are still all for the Democrats? Explain that with your "science"!

The good news is that we've chased enough of them out that they can now wrangle up enough body cameras for the ones that are left.

I'd guess about 1 in 5 cars I saw on coming home on Central Ave today had their windows open some amount....
It was 20°f so it's possible some were getting fresh air, but I suspect that more than a few were listening for horns and whistles... (And a few with windows up might have been ice)

Democrats negotiating from a position of strength where if they do nothing DHS gets "shutdown" and the GOP has to negotiate with them to have DHS be not "shutdown", as such they have decided to create laws for ice to openly violate, like all the laws they already openly violate.
"My hope is that there'll be bipartisan support... for eliminating the masks, requiring badges and body cameras. ... Nothing novel or radical about" those reforms.

Wife suggested that rather than a retirement age might still be eyeing the presidency and doesn't think she can go from a Senate leadership position where agreed have to take stance on things to a successful presidential candidate.
